Information For
Team Tempe

In an effort to raise money for programs to benefit members of the Tempe community, The Centers for Habilitation, along with three other Tempe charities have aligned to form Team Tempe, an Official Charity & Training Program of the P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘N Roll Arizona Marathon & ½ Marathon.

Team Tempe is comprised of the following organizations:

  • The Centers for Habilitation

  • Tempe Family YMCA

  • Tempe Community Foundation

  • Association for Supportive Childcare

All funds generated for TCH through Team Tempe go towards supporting programs and services to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities in Arizona.

Thank you to everyone who participated in Team Tempe!  This year was the first year for Team Tempe and because of the support of the Tempe community, it was a huge success!

15 runners from TCH raised almost $12,000 to directly benefit TCH programs and services.  With the help of Tempe Mayor Hugh Hallman, who helped to secure $137,000 to be divided between the four participating charities, TCH will receive additional funding from the following Team Tempe sponsors:

  • Vestar/Tempe Marketplace

  • Gray Development

  • Suncor

  • Ironman

  • Kitchell CEM

We would also like to thank Tom Waldeck and James Murphy for devoting so much time to physically and mentally prepare Team Tempe for the race.  We could not have asked for better coaches and definitely could not have met our running goals without you!

  • RoadRunner Sports

  • Sole Sports

  • MyoMotion Therapy Sports Massage

Thank you all for your support, we look forward to participating in Team Tempe again next year for P.F. Chang’s 2009!
